Popping out of the woodwork

Postby >>>---WW----> on Tue Oct 20, 2009 8:26 pm

I haven't seen many muley bucks all summer long. And that is saying alot because I'm up on the mountain almost every day from the time the snow will let me up there in the spring until it runs me off in the fall.

However, the past few days, I've been seeing lots of forky bucks and several 3 and 4 pointers almost daily. Yep, it is getting that time of year when the bucks that seemed almost nonexistant all summer long are starting to pop out of the woodwork. I always figure the prime rut is usually pretty dang close to the 7th of November.

If any of you guys are planning a deer rifle hunt for next year, you would do well to hunt one of the last two deer seasons. Your chances at a good buck will be magnified 10 fold during that time period.
