Yeah house is finally done, except a little window cleaning. Looks good and was fairly cheap. We'll all have to get together before the season starts. I'll set it up. Lew,when you guys going back up? Jeffery's been driving me crazy about going to the honey whole. I'm going up to the Craigs this weekend. Shot some muzzys this weekend and like you I never have to move or adjust anything. I am a little worried about my string, this will be the third year with it. It still looks and shoots great. Should I get a new one?

Bill, likewise about the phone. How many of the boys will be hunting this year? I think I might bring out JR. for the first four or five days.

Later fellas

I'm going to have Jeremiah with us for the weekends. He's off from school on Fridays this year so it won't hurt to keep him out 4 days at a time. The twins won't get to archery hunt but they'll be able to hunt after 2nd rifle. I'm going to see if I can get them some leftover doe tags for that.

Josh will be there for the first week, I'll take him home on the Labor day Monday.
Matt is coming up for the weekends only.
My plan is to drive up on Friday with the 4runner hauling my trailer, then have Connie bring Matt and Josh up after school in my truck. Connie can drive Matt home on Sunday afternoon, and back up the following Friday. Then she can take both boys home on Monday.

I am not planning on going back up until the Friday before the season opens. We spent a good bit of time up there this summer. There were lots of people camping up there all summer long, and getting a good spot was getting to be a challenge.
We had to camp at a spot that is real close to the picnic area last weekend.
During the 4th of July we were able to get in to our elk camp without any problems, but we were up there early on Friday and stayed until Tuesday.

Since the pronghorn season starts on the 15th that will give us one weekend and the Sunday that it opens.
Lots of stuff to do before the season starts. Gotta get all my hunting gear washed and packed, buy the groceries, and do some minor stuff to the camper.
I am going to try and take care of the camper and the clothes this weekend.
Then next weekend I need to run out and make sure the rancher is still ok with us hunting pronghorn on his place next to the Commanche.

Why the 4runner and why the camper? I'm all for a new area. There is nothing worse than getting to your spot and finding someone else there. It is getting way too congested there. Might have to do one of those wilderness area pack ins. Man, we haven't done anything this summer except work. I feel kinda bad for the the kids. The girls got to go out for about a week with they're church group. What did you think about my string? I hate to mess with it now.

My truck doesn't have a hitch on it yet, something I've been putting off and will not get done until after the season.
Going to bring my camper up so I have a bigger bed!!
The area I've been checking is the area where Brian told us about, looks pretty good and the access is only one road into the drainage and you need to walk from there.

If you think your string will hold up for the season I wouldn't mess with it now.
You can order a new string and have it with your stuff, but you have the other bow still for your back up.
Put the new string on after elk season.

Since Kerry and Mike won't be up there I may have Laura come up with us on Thursday afternoon and stay until Monday. She can take Jeremiah and the twins home on Monday and then bring Jeremiah back on the following Thursday.
