Stay out of the water!

Postby bullnuts on Tue Jun 08, 2010 6:53 am

The Pueblo Chieftain reported today that the Arkansas River broke the cubic feet per second record that was set back in the 1940s. The river yesterday was running at over 5000 cfs. That's moving! The river's probably going to peak in the next week or so and then start slowing down, so the fishing up river should start to get back to normal around the end of June. Until then, stay the heck away from the water!

Not only the Arkansas but all the rivers in the state are running high.
Bridges washed out in Boulder from the creek today.
The Colorado has claimed two in the last week.

The Yampa peaked on Sunday and is on the way down now. The snow really melted off over the weekend.
